Week of Autumn - Day #3 Sprinkles of Life

Hello, again. Glad you're here! I have another card, this time I used the Sprinkles of Life stampset. Stampin' UP! donates $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities for every Sprinkles of Life stamp set sold. Pair these stamps up with the Tree Builder Punch and you can make some pretty, awesome cards and donating to a great cause.

In case you missed it, here are links to Day #1 and Day #2.

I used Tangelo Twist cardstock for the base, layered Soft Suede after I embossed it with the Woodgrain textured embossing folder. On Very Vanilla cardstock I stamped the tree, leaves, and "thanks a bunch" sentiment with Soft Suede and Delightful Dijon. Then added the embellishments; Jewels Basic Rhinestone and straw bow (left over from a past Paper Pumpkin kit).

Holiday catalog goes live tomorrow! Just ask if you would like a copy. I will post the PDF link tomorrow morning.

See you tomorrow for Day #4!

Thank you for stopping by!

The birthday sentiment is from Fresh Fruit stamps. I added a strip of Fruit Stand DSP and a gold doily from the Metallic Foil Doilies. The inks are Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Delightful Dijon.

August Paper Pumpkin and BOGO

Hi, all! I'm back, with some cards to share that I made this week. It was a little difficult for me to write because of course, it's back to school, which is where I work and it has been a stressful week. Just to think about writing about cards was not happening. As much as I love my job, it has been challenging already this year.

Anyway here are some cards I made and posted on my Facebook page ...

These are cards I made with this month's Paper Pumpkin, Bold Botanicals. Very easy, because it's a kit and everything is included to make some awesome cards.

and here are a few alternate ideas made with the same kit ...

Paper Pumpkin has a BOGO sale going on right now! New subscribers will get the November kit for free! Sign up now and pay full price for your October kit, and get November Free!

Also, I'm pretty excited about the new holiday catalog available Sept. 1st, stay tuned I have some project shares coming up with new stamps and supplies to be released.

Hello, I'm back

I've been missing in action with my Bloom quilt, which I have not finished. Yes, I got a little behind, so I was playing catch up with my applique blocks and pretty much did nothing else. They're done, but now I'm finishing up to quilt top. I haven't done machine quilting in a long time, and I have never done free motion quilting. So I have some practicing to do! I will post some pics soon of what I have competed.

Anyway, the new Stampin' UP! catalog is out, and I'm just waiting for my order. In the mean time, I'm playing around with My Paper Pumpkin kits.

Here are a two cards I made with the May kit, Many Manly Occasions. Then I played around with the laser cut card bases and some of my stash of papers and stamps and I came up with these cards.

  • All About Everything stamp set (thank you gift from Paper Pumpkin)
  • Wildflower Fields DSP (retired)
  • Pop of Pink DSP
  • Inks - Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Melon Mambo
  • Petite Petals punch
  • Candy dots (retired)
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Now I have some more cards to use for any occasion. I love these kits, sometimes it more fun to use alternate ideas. The June kit should be arriving any day, I can't wait. Here's the June kit video:

Take care and be crafty!

New card share, Paper Pumpkin

Hello, I have a new card share today from April's Paper Pumpkin kit, Lovely Little Wreath, except I made Mother's Day cards instead of the wreath, I just haven't a chance to make the wreath yet. I made these cards with the stamps that were included in the kit and I used the English Garden Designer Series Paper.

More cards with the Farmers Market Designer Series Papers and another card simply stamped on Whisper White card stock.

These cards came together quickly using the April kit stamps. As a subscriber, we also received a free stamp set, All about Everything. A gift to say thank you, Paper Pumpkin celebrated 3 years and shipped their one millionth kit! I'll be sharing more projects with those stamps within the next few days.

Thank you for visiting!

Yes, sorry to say but there are many Stampin' UP! favorites that are retiring. Here is one stamp set that is going away that I love, A Dozen Thoughts. Here are a few simple cards and tags I made with the stamps and the Botanical Gardens DSP, which will also not be available after May 31st. All the Designer Series Papers will be retiring, too.

Only a few weeks left ... you can view the retirement list here. The new Stampin' UP! catalog will be available June 1st. I'm looking forward to sharing some sneek peeks as soon as my order comes in. I'm getting excited to share the new colors, stamps and papers. Yay!

Watercoloring with inks

Hello, I'm back again with some projects I made using inks to watercolor. I've always love watercolors. When I do art projects at work with the children and when it comes to painting I always prefer watercolors. It's quick, easy, dries fast, and the projects always look beautiful. Okay, what I'm sharing is a little bit of a cheater method. I used stamps and then watercolor the stamped image. But I love it!

This is watercoloring on cardstock.

More on watercoloring on cardstock for mini cards.

I made these tags on watercolor paper, which is better to watercolor on. This is a fun technique and I look forward to creating more watercolor projects.

I'm back cross-stitching

Well, not yet, but real soon because my daughter found a Halloween cross-stitch booklet that I thought I lost forever. So my plans are to ...
