Last weekend I had a fun day with my cousin Chris. We met at Country Roads Antiques, an awesome antique/collectible shop. I wish I knew more about the city of Orange, unfortunately I don't go there often, but I should! It's not that far, about an hour drive from my home. It's such a beautiful, charming place to visit with lots of antique shops filled with antiques, collectibles, retro, handmade and anything else you would love to have! Well, I did come home with a few things ..... so did Chris! I consider her an expert in this field, that's why I love to shop with her. She told me that we didn't even "scratch the surface", so I'm sure we'll be back!
One of the items I bought was this lovely embroidered piece. I love embroidery, whether it's done by me or someone else. I snagged this one for 4.00! It was originally for 8.00, but the booth was having a 50% sale, so I got a deal. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, maybe a pillow?
Oh, before I forget ... we also met Jenny Doh, she was at a book signing at Country Roads Antiques. We were able to chat with her for a little bit. Very nice and talked about her book she co-authored with Jo Packham, Where Women Create: Book of Inspiration. Okay, that's the next book on the list to buy, I have so many books!!
I'll share my other buys in my next post. Thanks for stopping by!
