What? Ten more days....

Hello, just realized today when one of the children at work was changing the calendar numbers that counted down the days until Christmas, yes it's ten more days, yikes! Well, that's okay, I think I have it nailed down, I'm just waiting until school is out for winter break and I can relax and do my shopping then. We usually don't go all out, we're just grateful to be home and celebrating Christmas with our family. . . and presents is just extra.

Anyway, today I made our December Christmas project with the children. This time it was paper ornaments/tags, I kept it simple. I prepared the items and they put it together. I used my scraps (which I have plenty of), plus some stickers, punches and print outs. I really love doing these projects with the kids, plus they get to see a little bit of paper crafting I like to do for fun! These will be going to the Meals-On-Wheels in our area, the volunteers will add these decorations to their meal containers.

Thank you for stopping by and hopefully I will check back in a few days and post about my sewing adventures, which I miss and look forward to sewing again (just getting my room organized and ready).

Happy December

Wow, it's been over a week since Thanksgiving and now Christmas is just a few weeks away. We had a wonderful time with family up in Sacramento for our Thanksgiving dinner and now I'm trying to get my decorations up. I've been bringing them out little by little through out the week, but today the tree goes up with all the rest of the decorations that are packed away.

In the mean time I have a little share of tags that I made before we left for Sacramento. It was a challenge on youtube, but I was too late to get a video response up so I'm sharing it here. The challenge was to use your scraps, which I have plenty of! These tags will come in handy for gift-giving, plus I made some fun sewing-themed ones, too!

Have a wonderful day!

I'm back cross-stitching

Well, not yet, but real soon because my daughter found a Halloween cross-stitch booklet that I thought I lost forever. So my plans are to ...
