Tea Pocket Cards

Hello, here again with my challenge for week 2 for Share Handmade Kindness Challenge

I made tea pocket cards for the office staff at the school I work at. They usually have their hands full with many situations that arise during the day. This is just one way that I can say how grateful we are to have them there for us. This week is about making and giving something for someone in the community. A new challenge starts tomorrow.

Too cute! I got this idea from terryeo1 on youtube, she made some adorable cards and I wanted to make some, too.

Thank you for stopping by.

Blueberry Muffins

I've been a little addicted to muffins lately. Just love having a muffin with my coffee in the morning. Of course, I found a blueberry recipe on Pinterest. It's a Starbucks recipe, not sure if it's the real thing, but it tastes so good! I made jumbo sized muffins this time around, so technically it's two muffins per muffin, lol! Here is the recipe from recipe.com.

Starbucks Blueberry Muffins

1/4 cup soft butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 cups pastry flour
1 grated lemon rind
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 cup wild blueberries

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add egg and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk. (Begin and end with flour for the best texture. Not sure why, but this works.) Toss blueberries with lemon rind and gently fold into batter. Do not over-mix.

Fill 12-cup muffin tin with paper cups or grease with butter. Fill 2/3 full with batter.

Bake in preheated 375F oven for 15-20 minutes. Remove from tins and cool on rack.

Note: the only thing I did differently was use all-purpose flour, instead of pastry flour. Oh, and next time I will use paper liners, little tough getting out of the pan, but did not affect the taste.

Share Handmade Kindness

Hello, again. Just another quick card share.

I've joined Jennifer McGuire's Share Handmade Kindness challenge and I just wanted to post the cards I made this weekend. I've been making a lot of cards and tags for the last couple of weeks and I will share them as soon as I can, just been too busy to post. I also have projects I make with the children at school which keeps me on my toes, but I love it all! If you follow me on twitter, instagram or facebook you probably seen what I've been up to, but I'm going to start posting here as well.

Anyway, I made these cards because my daughter asked if I can make some baby cards for her friends and a baby shower she was invited too. Seems like all her friends are having babies!  When this challenge came up, it was the perfect time to jump in, I love making cards! And scrapbooking, too, but I'll get back to that soon.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you join the challenge.

I'm back cross-stitching

Well, not yet, but real soon because my daughter found a Halloween cross-stitch booklet that I thought I lost forever. So my plans are to ...
