Back Home

We had a very nice Thanksgiving Day with family, we left this morning just before 5:30am and arrived home around 2:00pm. Here's the beautiful sunrise as we drove south on I-5, the weather was perfect all the way home.

As for Thanksgiving Day, my Mom and I spent the most of day cooking and preparing dinner, but it was all worth it. My Mom tried out a new recipe, Amaretto Yams, and it was a hit with everybody! Plus she made an awesome cornbread-sausage stuffing. I meant to take a picture of the turkey before my husband started carving it, but I was a little busy and forgot all about that most important photo. But here's everybody digging in.

Yesterday we ventured out to the mall, and fortunately it wasn't too crowded. I think most of the crowds had come and gone. Afterwards we went to a local craft shop and I bought this cute fabric and the latest issue of Home Companion. I have no idea what I will make out of this fabric, but I got a kick out of it!

Early tomorrow morning I'm off to Long Beach to meet my cousin at the arts and crafts fair where we'll be selling our crafts, collectibles and antiques. We are very excited about being there every Sunday. Hopefully we will do well.

Just a quick note

It has been a busy past couple of weeks, besides working my regular job, my cousin has me in a tizzy with her side job. She has a spot at an arts and craft fair near the Alamitos Bay Marina (Long Beach, CA). She asked me to join her by selling some handcrafted items. She sells mostly antique furniture and other collectible items. Anyway, I said "Sure"! My daughter has been making purses and pillows for sale on etsy. I took them with me, and of course my little totebags, too. It's a fairly new craft fair near the Farmer's Market, which is packed every Sunday. We had so much fun and met some of the nicest people. So it looks like I'll be up in Long Beach every Sunday and in the mean time I'll be busy gathering and making things for the craft fair. I'm very excited! Here's a photo I took with my cell phone. It's not the greatest camera, but I'll have better photos next time.

I'm off to pack for our trip to Sacramento for Thanksgiving to visit family, we leave tomorrow afternoon. We'll be back on Saturday . . . . so much to do!

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm back cross-stitching

Well, not yet, but real soon because my daughter found a Halloween cross-stitch booklet that I thought I lost forever. So my plans are to ...
