And I would like to make a table runner, this looks easy enough. I like the colors and the simplicity of it. So if you get a chance and are into making quilts or like to sew quick projects, I think you may have some luck with this magazine.

More Projects!
So many projects so little time! Yesterday I made the mistake of buying this magazine and I found a couple of quilt type projects I would like to make and I may start sometime in the near future (?). Here is one and I think it would be great for gift-giving and I may make a couple of these. Since this would fit my kind of friends!

Kid's Mini-Quilts
Okay, I've blogged before about making mini-quilts (and other sewing projects) with the students I work with. They just love it when I bring out the box of scrap fabrics, stitching kits, needle and thread, etc. Oh, of course the fabric markers! Here is a quick photo of the last mini-quilts that are almost complete. I'll take them to work tomorrow and have the students sew up the bottom and see if I can get them to quilt along the border or something. I should have a sample for them to see, but it's too late in the evening to think about that now. Oh well, I'm still not sure if they are up to hand sewing that much. I can get them to sew a little bit, but they tire easily and will ask me to do it in the end, and we don't have that much time. The morning goes by quickly and we also do storytime and let them play outside for half an hour, and then take them to breakfast before they go to school. It's a busy morning.
Anyway, I'm done with my school "homework", as one of the students calls it. Now I can get back to my crafts. Have a lovely evening.

A Little Bit of Progress
I had a busy weekend, yes, I did stitch. Can you believe it? I worked on my sampler for a couple of hours Saturday and Sunday morning. It was nice, my daughter and husband were asleep and I for some reason woke up very early both mornings. Instead of just laying there I made a pot of coffee and went into my newly arranged craft room and started to stitch. I would have sewed on my machine, I had plenty of projects that I could be doing, but I like the quiet of the morning. Of course, I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts, which keeps me inspired. I watched the day that started off gloomy in the morning turn into warmth and sunshine. I don't think we expected such nice weather. Anyway, I haven't been stitching in my usual spot which is in the living room. I had to move into the craft room temporarily, which isn't such a bad spot. The lighting is good when the sun decides to appear, it faces east and the morning sun is great for stitching. Here is my progress so far, and this is just a small section of a pretty large sampler.
I would have like to have the cottage done and some of the borders that run across completed. The stitching is pretty simple and no worries of changing colors. Maybe if I can settle in during the week for a few hours each night I can complete that. I 'm also working on mini-quilt projects for my kids at work. It turned out that I'm doing most of the work, but that's okay, it's close to the end of the school year and it's my little gift to them.
Well, I must get moving, it's back to the gym today. Have a nice evening!

Stitching Blogger's Question - Part 2
This is where I stitch when I have a chance. It's not very tidy and is currently being taken over my daughter and her many craft projects. She will be leaving tomorrow, sadly, but I will have my spot back.

This Week's SBQ
Ok, here's the back side. As you can see, I haven't gotten very far. This is only a part of the sampler that I have been working on for a very long time.

Thursday
Well, the moving is over and I don't know why I had to get involved! But anyway my dd is moved out and all is well. She's back home for a few days and then she'll be moving into a townhouse in Huntington Beach. It's really nice, but there are a few things that the contractors are trying to finish up, so dd is home for now. Of course, she has me busy running around to craft stores and what not. She is crafting more than I! I hope to get back to my stuff soon, but I'm in the middle of decluttering. I have most of everything moved out into the garage, I will be going through my stuff out there and just tossing out or donating. At least the guest/sewing/craft room is cleared and it's really looking good. I want to paint. I want to have it ready for my family to stay overnight. We are planning many bbq's over the summer and we don't want them to drive back home. Most of my family live in Los Angeles and beyond, and we are down here in north San Diego. It's quite a drive amd we have so much fun that they should just stay.
Besides that not much else happening, well, yes there is, but too boring to write about ... I'm just busy. I can't wait until things settle down and I can get back to my projects. Something that I can write about and post my photos.
