So my plans are to make some of the stocking ornaments from Blackbird Designs. I took a break from cross-stitching, I think I just got burned out. Plus I have a lot of finishing to do and I just needed a break. In the mean time I have been making other things and sewing more and I'll share them here.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjHVhypYh37G0VzzuwZh02dnozwcG323UMwm86iNCg2lWnT0FgJMXD4txXE92B7RrP4fFC2ScPBqMb1jcHitWp5hMW3gSWMehefofUaE860-2LN19HZJ0pNJMFRpif5SUoU_aGFtUmDEO8yzDcvbwKLdsBL9hRkVw6X6eQEBszilXtpfI2feEH7" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1135" data-original-width="794" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjHVhypYh37G0VzzuwZh02dnozwcG323UMwm86iNCg2lWnT0FgJMXD4txXE92B7RrP4fFC2ScPBqMb1jcHitWp5hMW3gSWMehefofUaE860-2LN19HZJ0pNJMFRpif5SUoU_aGFtUmDEO8yzDcvbwKLdsBL9hRkVw6X6eQEBszilXtpfI2feEH7=w224-h320" width="224" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-size: medium;">But I do have a cross-stitch finish to share, well I have quite a few, but I'll show off this one for now. I have done a lot of stitching, mostly trying to finish up my wips. I have so many that need to be framed. I have tried framing on my own, but I'm not very good at it and it's hard to find the right frame.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">My August finishes are Deux Oiseaux and In My Garden by Blackbird Designs. These are from the Ooh La La and the Sewing Club cross-stitch books. I hope I can get these framed soon!</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg46xl-9X_sQPVrNWNXRE79N6Ll0LtOrZinRmKp29RwUMPvM2tEmL3DEk5hEunKwJiADCuRqvdaxSPyeN3GgnjFOBTY3JNawxmu7BlwKqC2I1wlAw6Zgh2RSf8ZFgV-jgCUIkEt/s486/deax+oiseaux.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="439" data-original-width="486" height="361" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg46xl-9X_sQPVrNWNXRE79N6Ll0LtOrZinRmKp29RwUMPvM2tEmL3DEk5hEunKwJiADCuRqvdaxSPyeN3GgnjFOBTY3JNawxmu7BlwKqC2I1wlAw6Zgh2RSf8ZFgV-jgCUIkEt/w400-h361/deax+oiseaux.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicueF7fPA6-Xk_JvYBPz5e41X4kId8N7opAOSL_LEyXtjD2JjiqpnwCD4ry8eiWS_ijkMQg4AnY_5zRgJiDtg0tYYVZsWXr61NPEoJ1xIVR6sycNVSVI_VKFf9kxUJGx2VdqQe/s444/in+my+garden.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="353" data-original-width="444" height="318" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicueF7fPA6-Xk_JvYBPz5e41X4kId8N7opAOSL_LEyXtjD2JjiqpnwCD4ry8eiWS_ijkMQg4AnY_5zRgJiDtg0tYYVZsWXr61NPEoJ1xIVR6sycNVSVI_VKFf9kxUJGx2VdqQe/w400-h318/in+my+garden.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><span style="font-size: x-large;">I have no finishes for September, I spent the month trying to finish up When Witches go Riding by the Prairie Schooler, which I finished in October. I only have a few left. I finished the Twelve Days of Christmas ornaments by Satsuma Street Designs. They still need to be fully finished, not my favorite part of cross-stitching.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: x-large;">Okay, well that's all for today. Thank you for stopping by and I will definitely have more to show off, if I can only get photos uploaded and posted.</span></p><p><br /></p>Billiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18323953667195421671noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272104.post-69863518573814052982021-07-02T17:02:00.003-07:002021-07-02T17:07:05.555-07:00June stitching and July plans<p><span style="font-size: large;">Hello, back again with some progress and finishes. Where did June go? It flew by, but I managed to finish a few projects. I'm on a mission to finish all my wips this year and it looks like I'm getting a lot done. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">This is Be Thankful by Country Cottage Needleworks. When I first started stitching this I wasn't all that thrilled about the white pumpkins. So I ended up changing the colors on a few pumpkins to traditional pumpkin colors. I used Classic Colorworks floss; Pumpkin Harvest, Colonial Copper and Candied Yams. I love how it turned out! </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY805ehqKyDEGarC2cZrqWAeG8CSrrietpC9I5ExoQKRDg2t5IGdRlwoJV8RXWMPaTKT5rlmZ7X_hGAhyphenhyphenA2kyBeW-fUXXW1b9XFmpFyuBAbF1pzQF4c2WF26bcN-umgl7uxuJ7/s2024/IMG_5537.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1552" data-original-width="2024" height="490" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY805ehqKyDEGarC2cZrqWAeG8CSrrietpC9I5ExoQKRDg2t5IGdRlwoJV8RXWMPaTKT5rlmZ7X_hGAhyphenhyphenA2kyBeW-fUXXW1b9XFmpFyuBAbF1pzQF4c2WF26bcN-umgl7uxuJ7/w640-h490/IMG_5537.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-size: x-large;"><p>Next I have Tomato Time Needlebook from Punch Needle and Primitive Stitching magazine. I started 6 new projects and now I'm going to revisit some of my WIPs from last year. Today I'll be stitching "When Witches Go Riding" by the Prairie Schooler.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy_-NukvvJ6bar1hLyUWM53Pw8CT-brywoOQ0Lcc-5wY0Gt04uBxQlIdzbckSJw-B5ooZz3TFlaiVA685XpV4ujo_E58sRnC_uWhwE8tB-BcdiSI2jGIOMeS9LDW7_0lahdpOI/s640/When+Witches+Go+Riding.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy_-NukvvJ6bar1hLyUWM53Pw8CT-brywoOQ0Lcc-5wY0Gt04uBxQlIdzbckSJw-B5ooZz3TFlaiVA685XpV4ujo_E58sRnC_uWhwE8tB-BcdiSI2jGIOMeS9LDW7_0lahdpOI/w300-h400/When+Witches+Go+Riding.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><span style="font-size: x-large;"><p>Okay, here's the quick run down of my Stitchmaynia starts. First up is Autumn Hill by Plum Street Samplers. I gave myself three days and then I moved on to the next project.</p></span><p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOJ0AtK07ZeWfjpGunmXaSe0DRnd0Sp8OU0pRqSG0eng2hrXB7DWTt-hhuRYO5Vb3c9eAxAlavcYWbWNeKlsS-_TWLRjGSvnsQvVtCCrvC2qQoCCFICquF-8ZHmArUytdqBbF1/s640/1+Autumn+Hill.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOJ0AtK07ZeWfjpGunmXaSe0DRnd0Sp8OU0pRqSG0eng2hrXB7DWTt-hhuRYO5Vb3c9eAxAlavcYWbWNeKlsS-_TWLRjGSvnsQvVtCCrvC2qQoCCFICquF-8ZHmArUytdqBbF1/w300-h400/1+Autumn+Hill.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">Next was Jardin Prive's "La Nature est mon Atelier" stitched on 28 count Monaco and the called for DMC floss.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu9-lliW-8prpCBwMTi3-M0uDJyX6kXT5A5P6zITSf0k74v1eA5jLT9fCqPXCzGqjsPYe4mZCl1_dutWKnq57prSGocvIFSCPy_pXZIIbZQcKMEmEhCgyhJ5u4_5YB47Xm7uIC/s640/2+La+Nature.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu9-lliW-8prpCBwMTi3-M0uDJyX6kXT5A5P6zITSf0k74v1eA5jLT9fCqPXCzGqjsPYe4mZCl1_dutWKnq57prSGocvIFSCPy_pXZIIbZQcKMEmEhCgyhJ5u4_5YB47Xm7uIC/w300-h400/2+La+Nature.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><p></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">My third start, "In My Garden" by Black Bird Designs, stitched on 28 count Monaco and I used DMC floss. This is suppose to be a pin cushion, if you can see in the book cover photo. I'm a little scared to cut it up when I finish, might be easier to frame when I'm finished.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5cPq9OffwYcqOgIVXxic4d51EV5o01hvr42BP40Fx6y_YneSa-tt03Z6oa9xboFVZc_YOmnmezfvHhpCuGqRh9Gywz1HqfM5LjlHiGaRRJw0Bk9DzQwN6F34u9pfgxeoZUN1b/s640/3+In+My+Garden.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5cPq9OffwYcqOgIVXxic4d51EV5o01hvr42BP40Fx6y_YneSa-tt03Z6oa9xboFVZc_YOmnmezfvHhpCuGqRh9Gywz1HqfM5LjlHiGaRRJw0Bk9DzQwN6F34u9pfgxeoZUN1b/w300-h400/3+In+My+Garden.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">Fourth start, "Tomato Time Needlebook" designed by Eszter Marjanovic, this pattern was in last Summer's Punch Needle and Primitive Stitching Magazine. I can't wait until I finish this one as a needlebook, it's going to be so cute! I stitched it on 16 count French Lace Aida and DMC floss.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh85ppjG1f0LdWaIUtv68Fitdpu81O1hb7NoVQnKyLALj3Z_hK_SxaKYewMnGknMVQKED2hnll4KCtChdxH3ENu5emEvmKJB_hJhyphenhyphen2WjvmcjYP96GLyUBdDa1vj6308Eh99qfzD/s640/4+Tomato+Time.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh85ppjG1f0LdWaIUtv68Fitdpu81O1hb7NoVQnKyLALj3Z_hK_SxaKYewMnGknMVQKED2hnll4KCtChdxH3ENu5emEvmKJB_hJhyphenhyphen2WjvmcjYP96GLyUBdDa1vj6308Eh99qfzD/w300-h400/4+Tomato+Time.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p><span style="font-size: large;">Autumn Sound by Black Bird Designs. I was able to finish this one, inspite of all the color changes. I think this one came out really nice. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN6-uQDqwHP9MUWN5F_NHwKJYHxOuPGQY541vUmpngb2nzn9AlIC4QnRSERUq_fL8vbRbmjgtylgsqsyuYgo9pRt13ux23HZhiRTlq-kOl6bjjpZ91WU8Or8WSt_Js9fy9nqsl/s640/5+Autumn+Sound.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN6-uQDqwHP9MUWN5F_NHwKJYHxOuPGQY541vUmpngb2nzn9AlIC4QnRSERUq_fL8vbRbmjgtylgsqsyuYgo9pRt13ux23HZhiRTlq-kOl6bjjpZ91WU8Or8WSt_Js9fy9nqsl/w300-h400/5+Autumn+Sound.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><p><span style="font-size: x-large;">And my last one is Mighty Acorn by Blackbird Designs. I really love their patterns! I love samplers, so I plan on stitching more. This is also stitched on 28 count Monaco, I'm using the Weeks Dye Works floss that's called for on the chart. Except for the border, I used DMC 869.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAL93XhJFMrMbMMXcaShz1i-aUbcj4B9hwq50Tri515qOKqHpbFc6xQ8KD5iof9UgUQrZLsqW3aETn6veEP2b1Uv-VoI6jVz_oyKdIJhurHeqkhI_WPujWYBYnugMZEM5TnfOI/s640/Mighty+Acorn.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAL93XhJFMrMbMMXcaShz1i-aUbcj4B9hwq50Tri515qOKqHpbFc6xQ8KD5iof9UgUQrZLsqW3aETn6veEP2b1Uv-VoI6jVz_oyKdIJhurHeqkhI_WPujWYBYnugMZEM5TnfOI/w400-h300/Mighty+Acorn.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">For the rest of the month I'll be stitching up wips. Thanks for stopping by, this is just a little update on my blog. It looks like I'm lucky to post once a month lately.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">Have a great week!</span></p><p></p>Billiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18323953667195421671noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272104.post-87844185894733779072021-04-21T14:21:00.000-07:002021-04-21T14:21:56.131-07:00April finishes and more plans<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Good morning. I have a few shares to write about. I finished the little Easter egg by Crocette a gogo. It came out really cute, unfortunately not fully finished. I think I'll make it into a small pillow. Yes, another addition to my "to be fully-finished" projects.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1dnJKY9bjTBbWxDGKzuA1AjtsGJHw0KaNMfblC6mS2iwY87y7a5xL4K6n4keHoMiWFduDliqCUoMEhgt_Crj-Llim4EIvmGKvi9gifLtdqKnp5Ly1tzzL7_iSfEp8MBpizKwb/s2048/IMG_5439.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1dnJKY9bjTBbWxDGKzuA1AjtsGJHw0KaNMfblC6mS2iwY87y7a5xL4K6n4keHoMiWFduDliqCUoMEhgt_Crj-Llim4EIvmGKvi9gifLtdqKnp5Ly1tzzL7_iSfEp8MBpizKwb/w300-h400/IMG_5439.HEIC" width="300" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"><p>Next up, is I finished Santa's List by Country Cottage Needleworks. I started this over a year ago, I was able to stitch it quickly once I put my mind to it. I was having a heck of a time trying to make French Knots for the white polka dots on the boxes. I gave up and used beads instead. I only had some red beads from a previous project, so that's what I used. I eventually made the French knots for Santa's eyes.</p></span><p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4U-LzLkOiIOpgWHoIfizZwPQ5BoEn-H5vz7wIYRPTjZ8KCZiHeTKQa6aQ0ozhglHpQvjFIy8qdBVzHC6A-gjbVshO1U0CycYkfCMiA7d03TQssO8DqCg391f8dH5Xt1Hl6OBD/s2048/santas+list.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4U-LzLkOiIOpgWHoIfizZwPQ5BoEn-H5vz7wIYRPTjZ8KCZiHeTKQa6aQ0ozhglHpQvjFIy8qdBVzHC6A-gjbVshO1U0CycYkfCMiA7d03TQssO8DqCg391f8dH5Xt1Hl6OBD/w300-h400/santas+list.HEIC" width="300" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I'm currently stitching my next WIP, which is Babushka's Blossoms by Plum Street Samplers. I Just have the pumpkin to do and I should be done by tomorrow if I do nothing else, lol. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrxMHcTRRhyphenhyphenBCxStPEZUZuluWD41e3KGtHSi6XNnXKL0tc901eIjlm_GjlQb4AIV8XhXQGuY8Q6Vm5g7ClNLq8qnu6DZCN-jgdI6p2_xqBPoRjYHphEPHJv0FYkAg1Bx73fVs-/s2048/IMG_5446.HEIC" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrxMHcTRRhyphenhyphenBCxStPEZUZuluWD41e3KGtHSi6XNnXKL0tc901eIjlm_GjlQb4AIV8XhXQGuY8Q6Vm5g7ClNLq8qnu6DZCN-jgdI6p2_xqBPoRjYHphEPHJv0FYkAg1Bx73fVs-/w300-h400/IMG_5446.HEIC" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">My next plan is to start a sampler by Blackbird Designs. It's from the Oh, La, La book called Deux Oiseaux (two birds), I like this one because it calls for one color floss, which I have never done a cross stitch using one color. Plus I like the fact that I can pick it up in the morning and stitch without much thought to it, and drink my coffee.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I have a few other new projects to start this month or maybe next month; Autumn Hill by Plum Street Samplers and La Nature est mon Atelier by Jardin Prive. The translation is "nature is my workshop", how sweet!</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmRjmGic9QxhSSPMy4i0XkSt7XInHQeOnffUQ4GMo66b9B7utYQHGntoMXosWVLfwSfffyMA6d0tviyeah6zXmbyU9QBJ_XYxEz1g2952aoUELOQEXzFolWQ57cLJ1TBAb4kPZ/s640/IMG_5445.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmRjmGic9QxhSSPMy4i0XkSt7XInHQeOnffUQ4GMo66b9B7utYQHGntoMXosWVLfwSfffyMA6d0tviyeah6zXmbyU9QBJ_XYxEz1g2952aoUELOQEXzFolWQ57cLJ1TBAb4kPZ/w640-h480/IMG_5445.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><span style="font-size: medium;">Next month is Stitch-Maynia and I'm not sure what my plans are. I might choose to do what I did last year, which is to finish what I started last year and maybe a few new things thrown in the mix. I really should frame all my finishes instead!</span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Have a great week, until next time happy stitching!</span></p>Billiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18323953667195421671noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272104.post-19631678565223387852021-03-30T11:15:00.004-07:002021-03-31T22:06:23.622-07:00 A few finishes and my April plans<p><span style="font-size: large;">I didn't realize it has been February since I last posted. Well, here's a quick update what I'm making and what lies ahead in April.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5GWVxa3hDNSIjDCWdi7EhDjN1bV4NqOIqwZLP77njcopQhWfQzRvq_s_yc9UDfUKfLFkj87l0afYoHoMWV56rlFcGYReFS-M9-JsJ-uIzPJVjh4W1QLyxBJ7m6wE2Mz2CXDVn/s2048/happy+farm+girl.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5GWVxa3hDNSIjDCWdi7EhDjN1bV4NqOIqwZLP77njcopQhWfQzRvq_s_yc9UDfUKfLFkj87l0afYoHoMWV56rlFcGYReFS-M9-JsJ-uIzPJVjh4W1QLyxBJ7m6wE2Mz2CXDVn/w300-h400/happy+farm+girl.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">My last finish is Lori Holt's "Happy Farm Girl". It was a wip from 2019. This year I'm determined to finish all my wips, at least most of them. Anyway, I stitched this for the last three weeks and finally finished it! I changed some of the colors. I made her skin tone a little darker and instead of a blonde, she is a brunette. I will try to frame this soon.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih_i0Fy118c1gDh_589JyaTUfGOHi5FeDRUw1mFZH-aeEr7yG_If-RlQbw0aXW4NHPLXbttFRclQwrdvC5PFso2Dzh6vuj1GVBOWLd9PjWSeM3zZn4477vYvu5p4NehLVto3V_/s2048/File_001.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih_i0Fy118c1gDh_589JyaTUfGOHi5FeDRUw1mFZH-aeEr7yG_If-RlQbw0aXW4NHPLXbttFRclQwrdvC5PFso2Dzh6vuj1GVBOWLd9PjWSeM3zZn4477vYvu5p4NehLVto3V_/w300-h400/File_001.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpFKmcRfDgELZLhbEEWijcmTkCi0h5WDoMnyAhypceiMjWLzJ7sBXtHs4ztDDfyd3NZTBpJuquyUfL5El6d7QqRoArPtH9gRws_1y7gEuWevuF2rHlgRAuIDiZqzwdGW23nwaU/s2048/File_002.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpFKmcRfDgELZLhbEEWijcmTkCi0h5WDoMnyAhypceiMjWLzJ7sBXtHs4ztDDfyd3NZTBpJuquyUfL5El6d7QqRoArPtH9gRws_1y7gEuWevuF2rHlgRAuIDiZqzwdGW23nwaU/w300-h400/File_002.jpeg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">My two other finishes this month is "Less Is More" by Jardin Prive and "Frida" by Barbara Ana. I sent them off to Total Framing in Virginia to be framed. I've never sent my cross stitch to be framed professionally (well, once a long time ago), but I heard nothing but I good things about them. I'm looking forward to hearing from them on choices of frames. They said they will send me photos to look at in about a month, they are really popular for stitchery framing.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I'm currently stitching a small cross-stitch by <a href="https://crocetteagogo.blogspot.com/2021/03/regalo-oggi-piccolo-free-di-pasqua-e.html?fbclid=IwAR060z2YODqk3gA3X6Joz3P0BlGZbma9gBRRHvzW6XL4xYmIIzqYN_MqV8Q" target="_blank">Crocette a gogo</a>. It's a free pattern from her website. I hope I'll have it finished by Easter. I'm stitching it on 28 count Vintage Country Mocha linen. I would love to start stitching samplers, so I'm looking at charts from Blackbird Designs. Well, that's the plan anyway.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">I have more finishes for March, but I'll save that for another post. In the meantime, have a great day!</span></p>Billiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18323953667195421671noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272104.post-82932192038760610332021-02-14T10:35:00.004-08:002021-02-14T11:03:10.229-08:00Weekly crafty roundup<p><span style="font-family: times; font-size: large;">Happy Valentine's Day!</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVkwwAQakGCb-bzjRKvFI2cRqb-32jITzU23GAFPxptoCuXulrGZmoDE6B1NTvT1XTPE_v7ZDP-c5Tud6v2iS4XFRhfENFAQV4XmX4vadMYvHYhpVJRjfCvh9uKQOrnhFSDy36/s600/1vintageval3b.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="561" data-original-width="600" height="374" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVkwwAQakGCb-bzjRKvFI2cRqb-32jITzU23GAFPxptoCuXulrGZmoDE6B1NTvT1XTPE_v7ZDP-c5Tud6v2iS4XFRhfENFAQV4XmX4vadMYvHYhpVJRjfCvh9uKQOrnhFSDy36/w400-h374/1vintageval3b.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;">Well, this week I manage to do a little crafting, because that's all there is to do besides cooking and cleaning, ugh! I made more tags for my journals. I'm continuing to cross-stitch Frida, she's almost done and I found the DMC 503, I had it all the time. So I didn't have to substitute with another color. Anyway, I should have been done days ago, but I think I just lost my mojo with that piece.</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: large;">I also printed and put together a junk journal kit from Vectoria Designs. I put it in a mini binder I have for recipes, but I plan to cover it. It's a recipe book that I can put in our favorites and then possibly hand it down to my daughter, if she's interested. It has some really cute, vintage pictures. It will be fun to put together.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihavbRK3hVkNnOvq5n9YdNNWzj-8E5riFNz76XmJbXqRvTEFv8E7FscoZa_d2Cp-QN7P-gJwmMSkl9qk0m9o6Gemv1kZxMuY15nv-QdSBphy3Sblt9jWvyvK58CJqWJJAMRO2V/s2048/freebie+40.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1832" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihavbRK3hVkNnOvq5n9YdNNWzj-8E5riFNz76XmJbXqRvTEFv8E7FscoZa_d2Cp-QN7P-gJwmMSkl9qk0m9o6Gemv1kZxMuY15nv-QdSBphy3Sblt9jWvyvK58CJqWJJAMRO2V/w358-h400/freebie+40.jpeg" width="358" /></a></div><span style="font-family: inherit;"><p><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Friday Freebie Hearts are from Gi Kerr's Happiness is Crafting on Facebook. I started this during Stitchmaynia 2019, but with all my other wips I hadn't picked it up until last month. So I'm determined to get it done. Of course, I'm not stitching like I used to, so it's going to be a slow process.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUuBXTHqG0qWNEdP54QsTYyiTHGKW-F3kjdvGwmUgFFwEmNQiMJydg24CMTH36hRXk_iWkWbpn7c_bPVd-FJMiMnDUeKjPqC8gDjgWhJ1GY1VFKN0UuXfzofPsnvbun8UswWIk/s2048/File_000+%25282%2529.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUuBXTHqG0qWNEdP54QsTYyiTHGKW-F3kjdvGwmUgFFwEmNQiMJydg24CMTH36hRXk_iWkWbpn7c_bPVd-FJMiMnDUeKjPqC8gDjgWhJ1GY1VFKN0UuXfzofPsnvbun8UswWIk/w480-h640/File_000+%25282%2529.jpeg" width="480" /></a></div><span><p style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">I'm out of DMC 503, which is a blue-green that goes on the bottom of her dress. A lot of cross-stitching, but not as much as I use to. I cross-stitch daily, mostly in the mornings. Now I have been hit with the paper crafting bug again.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: large;">First it's been with my Silhouette Portrait, just making all kinds of stuff with it. I've put one together, but it's random, more like an idea book. I have so much paper, I need to do something with it. So I've been making lots of tags and pockets. I just love it! Here are a couple of tags I made. The pattern is from Gi Kerr's Facebook group, but you can get them in her etsy shop. I scanned the pdf file and I was able to cut it on my Silhouette. Her Facebook group is Happiness in Crafting. I added the butterflies from Tim Holtz Botanical Layers. I hope you all doing well and staying safe. Our Thanksgiving dinners are usually small and at home, so it's no different this year. I was ready last week!</span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">This month I worked on two cross stitch patterns, I've mentioned them in previous posts. I was focused because I wanted them done! I switched back and forth so I wouldn't get bored, but I wanted to finish at least one, and I did! I finished Pumpkin Hollow Farms, stitched on 28 count, coffee tea-dyed Monaco. I used the called for DMC floss.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh16jUdyPTf7mNOisFI-wq4i9yaGTpvsxPuZSIE8tQz7bh6jb26BIBcGT7ylHoZZLiEiUfSWN_lWlKHK7tUS8mgSZr4yi1Y7iCy8LuiYWgEufG1G1TtYE3e4xLWBpOFwUDTHGMf/s2048/pumpkin+hollow.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh16jUdyPTf7mNOisFI-wq4i9yaGTpvsxPuZSIE8tQz7bh6jb26BIBcGT7ylHoZZLiEiUfSWN_lWlKHK7tUS8mgSZr4yi1Y7iCy8LuiYWgEufG1G1TtYE3e4xLWBpOFwUDTHGMf/w480-h640/pumpkin+hollow.jpg" width="480" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">The other one is Babushka's Blossoms, which is almost done. I also have a lot of Christmas finishes that need to be fully finished. So I'll be busy.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpt_OxBcE2o_VIuqHhwsErz0zf_C2iVO9c1OVB5kYg9KBaw_WLpj0UJUT3XA1SHd8eOkuthjYdw7VfGeQJf4uF2eq-1mGQEI4XcIK1EqT7hncZ5nBAMciDd6K4SgYn6pY0fiSH/s2048/Babushka.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1762" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpt_OxBcE2o_VIuqHhwsErz0zf_C2iVO9c1OVB5kYg9KBaw_WLpj0UJUT3XA1SHd8eOkuthjYdw7VfGeQJf4uF2eq-1mGQEI4XcIK1EqT7hncZ5nBAMciDd6K4SgYn6pY0fiSH/w550-h640/Babushka.jpg" width="550" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: medium;">I'll have more pics to share of my WIPs and new starts for December. Although, I'm not sure if I like it all that much. The colors seem light and it kind of gets lost on my display. I mounted it on foam core with batting and then I mounted it on a mat board. I covered the mat board with black and white check by <a href="https://www.fatquartershop.com/priscillas-pretty-plaids-fat-quarter-bundle" target="_blank">Priscilla's Pretty Plaids</a>. I'm terrible at making bows and I'm not sure that I like bows on all my projects, but I found some straw strips and I made a bow out of that. I kept it simple for now.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx66X0z5dUViHlELc7_4cvKOXnNaZd89iYHfywk6t1DXDJqo52e1y-ssriZv3mO-miwYk9nyJ2tBd44G_zW8uI4p374p_-Y3exIHVLZR-RgSo4gQrNG6f8oOGGRNFbK-hk_ibq/s2048/pumpkins4sale+crop.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1090" data-original-width="2048" height="341" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx66X0z5dUViHlELc7_4cvKOXnNaZd89iYHfywk6t1DXDJqo52e1y-ssriZv3mO-miwYk9nyJ2tBd44G_zW8uI4p374p_-Y3exIHVLZR-RgSo4gQrNG6f8oOGGRNFbK-hk_ibq/w640-h341/pumpkins4sale+crop.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSjDa-04jKCYJghX1SNNknewCBpVRVRK8t3NCQXv7LdbEaqh2cJ9BwNjsofW44SUnaIa7UPslcnaHVEx4HkklSCmpPeXphslUkS68UtzjL4euDB0hoEe9a0N2AokKYRZV7k1SZ/s2558/nov+display+crop.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1229" data-original-width="2558" height="309" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSjDa-04jKCYJghX1SNNknewCBpVRVRK8t3NCQXv7LdbEaqh2cJ9BwNjsofW44SUnaIa7UPslcnaHVEx4HkklSCmpPeXphslUkS68UtzjL4euDB0hoEe9a0N2AokKYRZV7k1SZ/w640-h309/nov+display+crop.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div><p><span style="font-size: large;">I'm c</span><span style="font-size: large;">urrently stitching Babuska's Blossoms and Pumpkin Hollow Farms. I've done a lot of cross-stitching, what else is there to do, I have a lot of finishes, too. I'll try to share a few here.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: x-large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: x-large;">I did participate in Jolly July. I stitched on all my Christmas ornaments that I started during Stitch Maynia, I also stitched on bigger Christmas projects I have started. Here is one finish from Satsuma Street, 12 Days of Christmas. </span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgNZ0ZJ5M-sZ9yaYpAb0rVpdxVEJ35U2k_Y9Qfluv2-zfmID4TaardE4J8wvwvCr3PvXWsFYJd5E1Jq6pSPDuAhfd-l96t02t0YRDry3K2B-Y5AM93cxqsdJS9t_4GXkchFtjT/s2048/5+satsuma+street.jpg" style="display: block; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; padding: 1em 0px;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgNZ0ZJ5M-sZ9yaYpAb0rVpdxVEJ35U2k_Y9Qfluv2-zfmID4TaardE4J8wvwvCr3PvXWsFYJd5E1Jq6pSPDuAhfd-l96t02t0YRDry3K2B-Y5AM93cxqsdJS9t_4GXkchFtjT/s640/5+satsuma+street.jpg" /></a></div><span style="font-size: x-large;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: x-large;">This is a project of 12 different ornaments and I'm happy to say that most are almost completed, I ran out of colors and it wasn't easy to get out and purchase more, but I finally have them now! Yesterday, I completed Dorothy's Red Shoes from The Little Stitcher. It's a small, and I plan to give it as a gift. It's a free chart from her <a href="http://thelittlestitcher.blogspot.com/2013/04/theres-no-place-like-home.html">website</a>.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: x-large;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTkkE2sRA9SkXeCupZCPiJ19ZYUMQA6VttLrkzs0ec3DBz2BpsH4ONPJOWO9Fq3X3KBFcPUf6ELDpMerIHxdlgbv0Kv0oO78o86-ID46zmgd4ANKgaMDUOVnRXx5WExKFbtYe4/s2048/Dorothy.jpg" style="display: block; padding: 1em 0px;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTkkE2sRA9SkXeCupZCPiJ19ZYUMQA6VttLrkzs0ec3DBz2BpsH4ONPJOWO9Fq3X3KBFcPUf6ELDpMerIHxdlgbv0Kv0oO78o86-ID46zmgd4ANKgaMDUOVnRXx5WExKFbtYe4/s640/Dorothy.jpg" /></a></div><span style="font-size: x-large;">I need to get this framed soon, it's a birthday gift for this month. I know I'm terrible about posting, but I show up every now and again to share what I've been up to in the crafting world. As for Stitchmaynia, this year I did 20 new starts and the other days I worked on my WIPs. Most of my new starts are Christmas ornaments, because I really wanted some handmade ones to put on my Christmas tree, plus they are quick to finish. Unfortunately, I didn't have any finishes for May. My last finish was in April, it was one of the free charts that was part of the #bewellandstitch movement. This is from Lizzie Kate Designs.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;">All is Calm stocking, I think it's small enough to be an ornament. Just Cross Stitch Magazine, Dec. 2014. There were some specialty stitches that I wasn't aware of until I started stitching. They were easy to figure out and fun to do.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">This one I did on 32 count Belfast and I really like it. Last year when I used this fabric, it was a little difficult to work with, but this time around it's not so bad. Magnifiers help! Most of my projects are stitched on 28 count Monaco or 14 count Aida, it's nice to try a different fabric and count.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I have more to share and I will be fully finishing some of my other finishes. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Happy stitching!</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">For "Always", I pinned (and sticky taped) this over foam core and then attached it to a fabric covered foam core. I think I will take this apart and make a stuffed ornament for next year, but this is okay for now. Yeh, I still have my Valentine decorations out, plus candy, lol.</span><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: large;">The "February Cottage" is framed in an 8x8 frame from Hobby Lobby. I'm starting to frame these projects simply, because it's taking me too long to figure out how to fully-finish or I'm just lazy. I just want to get started on my next cross-stitch project. I used Stampin' UP! paper for the background, Peaceful Poppies DSP. This is such pretty paper.</span><br />

I'm still cross-stitching a lot and I've also been making cards and other paper crafts. I was discouraged last month with my Silhouette Portrait electronic cutter last month. It would not work due to a recent Windows 10 update, or something like that. So I ended up purchasing the Silhouette Portrait 2, so all is good, except I've only made a handful of things since then. Too many projects so little time. Anyway, this is a quick post to share a little of what I'm up to.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">My finishes so far this year:</span><br />

<span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>"Always"</b> from Cecelia Turner, Heart in Hand. This is also a free chart. I love these quick, smalls to stitch. It only takes a couple of days, but framing is another thing.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Hopefully I'll have my "March Cottage" finished and framed before March rolls around!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I'll share my paper crafts and cards in another posts. I just wanted to get this out there and let you know I'm still here, just slow at posting.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Have a great day and make something fun!</span><br />

I wish I can get back on track with posting. These past few months have been busy. I guess because the holidays are here and I'm feeling a little bit overwhelmed. At least I'm not bored. I've been retired for about 2 1/2 years and I have been busy ever since. I have a few cross-stitch finishes and a lot of wips! I don't know why I keep starting a new project. Never mind all the sewing and quilting plans! Then there's my Stitchmaynia starts. Oh yes, I even made two more project bags.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Anyway, here are three ornaments that are finished and hanging on the trees.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Here's my Lori Holt Vintage Christmas Sampler. I finished it earlier in the year, except for all those buttons. I like her projects, because you can easily put them in a standard frame. Although this is temporary, because I don't know if I want it framed in glass.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Then I have all my works in progress. I can share next time, I have enough photos already, besides they don't show up that well when they're not finished. They include designs from The Little Stitcher, Sue Hillis Designs, Jardin Prive stitch along, and some ornaments from Just Cross Stitch Magazine.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Yikes, I need to get busy. Christmas is less than two weeks away and I would like to get a few of these done.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Have a great week!</span><span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>

At least I have a lot to share, but I'll keep it short because I'm never able to finish my posts, and then it doesn't get sent.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Finishes</b></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Okay, this is too much. I was so happy to have completed Field Mouse Hollow, but after I had taken it down from the wall, I realized that I had forgotten to stitch the white laces on the shoe! Luckily, I didn't glue it down and I was easily able to take it apart and I can finish it later. I usually lace up my cross stitch on the back or stick it down with sticky tape and it comes apart easily.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: large;">I love this, it came out so cute. I found the sled at Target, it was the last one left. <span style="font-size: large;">I finished November Cottage just in time to hang up for November. I made the ruffle with my ruffle attachment on my sewing machine. <span style="font-size: large;">I also went back to my Red Wagon ornament by Sue Hillis Designs,</span><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span><span style="font-size: large;">Home for the Holidays. I started it back in the spring, which I decided to try my hand at 32 count Belfast. Even though it was over two threads, it was still a struggle for me, so I put it away. This time I wore magnifying glasses and better lighting which makes it easier this time. Actually, I think my eyes are getting use to smaller stitches, because I stitched some of my ornaments on 18 count and it wasn't so bad.</span><br />

It came out pretty cute. This is Witch Ride? by Barbara Ana Designs. I stitched it on coffee-tea dyed 14 count Aida with DMC floss. I mounted it on foam core and then glued on to fabric covered sticky board. I hot glued the ruffle. The Halloween fabric is from Riley Blake Designs. I love it!</span><br />

Sorry, I've been away so long, but I've been busy with sewing and cross-stitching. I have a lot of wips that it's scary! I have started a couple of post to my blog, but then I have a hard time finishing what I write and uploading photos. I'm going to try to get it all done today.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I finished September and October Cottages by Country Cottage Needleworks. I never got around to fully finish September, but October is done and hanging up in my kitchen. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqBpEJCLryCP9SCwb6zgn-7tg35to_e4HQOap4oMbwECoK_aLKqtco6ca4BdsvgcYzNpCnM36HglODKx7JXVRtTV27YUioo1lAeS0R52otgEbkRpVF4wCB-M82BEzQRVGfTuYK/s1600/Oct+finish.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="559" data-original-width="478" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqBpEJCLryCP9SCwb6zgn-7tg35to_e4HQOap4oMbwECoK_aLKqtco6ca4BdsvgcYzNpCnM36HglODKx7JXVRtTV27YUioo1lAeS0R52otgEbkRpVF4wCB-M82BEzQRVGfTuYK/s640/Oct+finish.jpg" width="545" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span><span style="font-size: large;">I'm currently stitching the November Cottage. I'm anxious to get it finished.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">The last couple of days I've also been stitching <a href="http://priscillas2000.blogspot.com/2019/09/a-gift-for-you-chicken-joy.html" target="_blank">Chicken Joy</a> by Priscilla and Chelsea. Hopefully, it will be done in a few days and then I can move on with my other wips. I decided that I'm going to complete the tree as an ornament. Then later stitch another in black fabric. I should have done that to begin with, because the white stitches just don't show up like they should. Chicken Joy is free at <a href="http://priscillas2000.blogspot.com/2019/09/a-gift-for-you-chicken-joy.html" target="_blank">Priscillas blog</a>.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Okay, I really wanted to write more and post more photos, but I'll never get this posted! I'll be back tomorrow with more shares, I've been making a lot of stuff! </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">Have a great day and happy stitching! </span>Billiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18323953667195421671noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6272104.post-82481734657608663972019-07-29T11:16:00.002-07:002019-07-29T11:17:11.371-07:00A finish and some more wips<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">Yes, I have a finish to share, plus some other projects I'm working on.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I finished the August Cottage from Country Cottage Needleworks. I trimmed it with a ruffle I made. Actually, it looks like pleats. I wanted to use a blue gingham, but after making the ruffle, it was no way, it looked to babyish and I had to find something else in my stash. Since I already had the ruffle attachment on my machine (which is another story) I was on a ruffle roll. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwKQ8nt6bxf2pPViSFogxyB0sVeDDbwz_7aes6YkXJKViwMd7u7wB0O5qrurFRyZIkxp3j5wD5g1cv9KKHvlCQl_X8iWmsu_lzL4ELGTKhEOSc4LyqcavW48_lHFuN16ROOCfs/s1600/july+finish2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; color: #0066cc; font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: 400; letter-spacing: normal; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; orphans: 2; text-align: center; text-decoration: underline; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwKQ8nt6bxf2pPViSFogxyB0sVeDDbwz_7aes6YkXJKViwMd7u7wB0O5qrurFRyZIkxp3j5wD5g1cv9KKHvlCQl_X8iWmsu_lzL4ELGTKhEOSc4LyqcavW48_lHFuN16ROOCfs/s1600/july+finish2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwKQ8nt6bxf2pPViSFogxyB0sVeDDbwz_7aes6YkXJKViwMd7u7wB0O5qrurFRyZIkxp3j5wD5g1cv9KKHvlCQl_X8iWmsu_lzL4ELGTKhEOSc4LyqcavW48_lHFuN16ROOCfs/s640/july+finish2.jpg" width="480" /></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">I spent the afternoon trying to get my ruffle attachment to work, I mean I've done it before many, many years ago, but this is a new attachment and a very different machine. But once I got it figured out, after trial and error, it was easy. I did a lot of practicing and viewing a lot of videos, and I did it! I know it would have been a lot quicker and easier if I made the ruffle by hand, but I bought this attachment a couple of years ago and I was determined to take it out of it's package and use it for the first time.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhi1ibXTD2eiy97uoPkDHhYeCkJthEcTpsh_JE5L_gtqr0eMLiFJ8ujqXq_GCLLl0M4CjP_-jiaV6o1PbpyEZSUGCsXzdrpSL2m1R9-Gz-rvFg7X2uYXu6cUBZ97oRYziAlCB7r/s1600/red+wagon.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhi1ibXTD2eiy97uoPkDHhYeCkJthEcTpsh_JE5L_gtqr0eMLiFJ8ujqXq_GCLLl0M4CjP_-jiaV6o1PbpyEZSUGCsXzdrpSL2m1R9-Gz-rvFg7X2uYXu6cUBZ97oRYziAlCB7r/s640/red+wagon.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;"></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I have been working on two other projects this month. The Red Wagon with Tree from Home for the Holidays by Sue Hillis Designs, but I stopped because it was taking me too long and I was making a lot of mistakes. I don't know why I chose to stitch on linen, it's 32 count Belfast and my first time stitching on a smaller stitch count. I'll get back to it later, but I want to get some other ones done first.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjL14JjxjGr1UgwzKbWEmijayzh5502DD6Grx3mlHG2VtlP_6iAFZyg7CpMEX8L2zhMsB7YYyZgu6-yEaI7k7aVkRirteczt-nun8nMfP4dd5MVYuvuQbqliGWkRTx3zqCKVl6D/s1600/witch+ride.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjL14JjxjGr1UgwzKbWEmijayzh5502DD6Grx3mlHG2VtlP_6iAFZyg7CpMEX8L2zhMsB7YYyZgu6-yEaI7k7aVkRirteczt-nun8nMfP4dd5MVYuvuQbqliGWkRTx3zqCKVl6D/s640/witch+ride.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: large;">And the other one I'm working on is Witch Ride? by Barbara Ana Designs. I started this during Stitch Maynia. I was hoping I would have it done today, but I got hung up yesterday with finishing the August Cottage. I love the colors of the cup, the layers of colors looks very cool. Maybe I'll have it done tomorrow. Then I can finish Field Mouse Hollow before Halloween. I know, I have a lot of fall and winter projects to get to, yikes!</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: large;">It would be nice if I could get the Christmas ones done before Christmas, but I don't know. I think I took on too many projects!</span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;">I re-subscribed to Sew Sampler from the <a href="https://www.fatquartershop.com/sew-sampler-quilting-subscription-box" target="_blank">Fat Quarter Shop</a>. I received my July box yesterday and I'm so excited with what was inside! There was a pattern for project bags and a cute sewing-themed fat quarter bundle, Blooms & Bobbins. Also a handbag zipper by Annie, which I wanted to try out. They're other goodies, too. I want to get started on the project bag, I was thinking about making some more anyway. yay! There is a waiting list, but it seemed to go by quickly. I think I waited about 2 months to start receiving my first monthly subscription.</span></div>
