A bit more to share

Sunday morning we stopped in Solvang for breakfast on our way up to Pismo Beach. I didn't have my camera batteries charged so my cell phone had to do. We stopped at "Paula's Pancake House". Pretty good, dh was determined to have breakfast there, he's been there before and thought it was great. The weather was was wet and cold and the restaurant was busy with tourist - glad we stopped, I was hungry!

Just before we hit the road again, I ran over to "Solvang Needlework" to have a quick look-see while dh patiently waits. I ended up walking out with a few little goodies for my daughter and I. I let her pick what she wanted out of the mix. I thought the cupcake was cross-stitch, it's needlepoint. I've never done needlepoint! The other two kits are needle punch owl and flower. I haven't done needle punch in ages, but I hear it's coming back and I thought, "Wow, a quick and easy craft to do". Hmmm.

When we arrived it was pretty cloudy, but we had a fantastic view from our room.

Monday and Tuesday turned out to be really nice days.

Last night's sunset was beautiful. Goodbye, Pismo.

Business trip

Pismo Beach

Actually, my husband is on a business trip and I'm just tagging along for the first time. We're having a nice stay here, considering he's working. I love the central California coast, it's been a long time since we've been up here. We use to take the RV up here and had a great time camping, sight-seeing and making new friends. I'm hoping he has more trips like this. The weather is beautiful today, it rained on Sunday when we arrived. Today it's 54F, but feels warmer. It supposed to rain tomorrow, not a good time to be traveling back home. Hope the rain is light.

I'm back cross-stitching

Well, not yet, but real soon because my daughter found a Halloween cross-stitch booklet that I thought I lost forever. So my plans are to ...
